Description
Inspired by the Native American technique of burying fish and planting on top for optimal nutrition for the soil and the crops grown on it, we bring you fermented fish fertilizer! This fertilizer returns the full spectrum of nutrients, enzymes, and minerals to the soil while being completely lagoon safe. For at least ten months, fish carcasses were placed inside recycled salt containers from pool companies with either the addition of organic molasses or freshly cut sugar cane grown from the farm and artesian water to create the ferment. This method creates so much nutrition density that plants are better able to fight of diseases, bear fruit sooner, and even return life to barren soil. Whether you’re looking for beautiful green grass or a healthy, thriving garden/food forest farm, the nutrients this fertilizer gives the soil will bring the land back to life and keep the lagoon clean and safe as there are no chemicals used at all in the making of this homemade brew. You can either water it in or use a backpack sprayer and with only needing 2tbps to a gallon, the formula will stretch a long way. This product can have a fish smell that will only last a few hours. But the results are impressive because it nourishes the microbiome of the soil which in turn will produce nutrient-dense food.

The fermented fish fertilizer comes from Linde Earth Farm, who is a small regenerative, permaculture farm in Malabar, Fl. It was founded by two medical professionals who, in 2020, became aware that our food is devoid of critical nutrients, minerals and enzymes which keep people healthy. There goals are to help others understand that it may look good when food is grown in depleted soil with industrial fertilizer, but it is devoid of nutrients. So they made a partnership with the Islands Fish Grill, up-cycling their freshly filleted fish remains. They then collected recycled salt containers from pool companies that would of otherwise made it to the landfill and began the fermentation process after adding the organic molasses or farm fresh cane sugar.
No chemicals at all. Only in contact with pool containers that were only used for holding salt for salt water pools prior. They were rinsed prior to using them for holding the fermentation process. This process kept these containers out of the landfill. The 1-liter plastic bottles the fertilizer is bottled in is also recycled.
